Color Masterbatch & Additive Masterbatch
Open a bottle, peel a film, stack a crate—MasterbatchGlobal products are working quietly in the background. The deep black that blocks light in a shampoo bottle, the bright white that makes a food tub look clean, the brand-true color on a cap that matches every time—those come from color masterbatch. And the way that film doesn’t stick to itself, the cap ejects cleanly from the mold, the clear PP container stays crystal-looking, the outdoor part lasts longer in the sun—that’s additive masterbatch doing its job.
On this page you’ll find the essentials we offer: MasterbatchGlobal products in color concentrates (black, white, custom) and targeted additives such as UV stabilizer, optical brightening agent (OBA), stiffening agent, mould release, elastomer modifiers, anti-blocking, slip, and clarifying agents. Each of these MasterbatchGlobal products exists to solve a practical problem: protect against UV, reduce yellowness, increase rigidity, ease ejection, add flexibility, prevent film blocking, tune friction, or sharpen clarity.

Color Masterbatch
Black Masterbatch
Formulated for deep, uniform jetness with clean dispersion, black masterbatch helps mask regrind, protect light-sensitive contents, and create a consistent visual baseline across parts and lots. Carrier options (PP, PE, PET) align with common processes, and heat-stable carbon black grades support film, injection, and blow molding without excessive plate-out. Typical considerations include UV stability needs, flow impact at target LDRs, and compatibility with slip/antiblock or stiffness packages when used in caps, crates, and films.
Use cases: caps & closures, crates, pipes, films.
Notes: high jetness and dispersion for reduced streaking; options tuned for PP/PE, PET, and ABS.
Typical checks: opacity/OD, ΔE color drift, filter-pressure value (FPV).

White Masterbatch
White masterbatch combines TiO₂ loading with a tuned carrier to deliver opacity, brightness, and gloss while managing flow and surface quality. It’s used to achieve a clean “brand white,” improve print contrast, and help with light-barrier requirements in packaging. Selection usually balances TiO₂ level, undertone, and processing temperature, with attention to haze in thin sections, plate-out control, and interactions with clarifiers or OBAs in clear/transparent PP applications.
Use cases: bottles, thin-wall containers, films.
Notes: TiO₂-based formulations to balance opacity, gloss, and flow.
Typical checks: TiO₂ loading vs haze/brightness, yellowness index.

Custom Color Masterbatch
Custom colors are matched in CIELAB to brand targets and validated for the intended polymer and process. Formulations prioritize consistent shade, dispersion, and lot-to-lot repeatability, with options for food-contact and lightfastness as required. Alongside visual match, practical details matter—carrier compatibility, melt behavior at the planned LDR, metamerism risk under different lighting, and how the colorant set interacts with UV packages, slip/antiblock, or stiffness additives in the same part or film structure.
Notes: CIELAB matching, carrier-resin alignment (LLDPE, PP, EVA, PET).
Typical checks: ΔE tolerance, metamerism, lot-to-lot consistency.

Additive Masterbatch
UV Stabilizer Masterbatch
Formulated to help plastics retain appearance and mechanical properties under sunlight or UV exposure. Packages typically combine HALS and/or UV absorbers in a compatible carrier for PP/PE (and selected PET grades). Selection is usually based on exposure class, part thickness, and regulatory needs.
Purpose: help retain mechanical/appearance properties under UV exposure.
Typical polymers: PP, HDPE, LLDPE, TPO; selected options for PET.
Common applications: outdoor parts, agricultural films, caps exposed to light.
Consider: exposure class, package (HALS, UV absorbers), food-contact status.

Optical Brightening Agent (OBA) Masterbatch
Adds a blue-violet fluorescence that offsets yellowing and increases perceived whiteness/brightness. Very low dosages are common, with attention to interactions with TiO₂, UV stabilizers, and clarifiers. Suitable carriers and processing windows support consistent dispersion and color control.
Purpose: reduce yellowness and enhance perceived whiteness/brightness.
Typical polymers: PP, PE, PS, ABS, PET.
Common applications: consumer packaging, housewares, fibers, sheets.
Consider: very low dosages; interactions with UV stabilizers and TiO₂; target CIE whiteness

Stiffening Agent Masterbatch
Designed to increase rigidity (e.g., flexural modulus/top-load) with controlled effects on toughness and density. Typically uses engineered minerals or reinforcement packages in PP/HDPE carriers. Process setup and part design influence outcomes such as warpage and dimensional stability.
Purpose: increase rigidity (flexural modulus, top-load) with controlled impact on toughness.
Typical polymers: PP (homo/random), HDPE; select film grades.
Common applications: crates, caps/closures, thin-wall parts, trays.
Consider: LDR planning, dispersion quality, warpage control; tool wear with high-mineral systems.

Mould Release Agent Masterbatch
Internal release additives that reduce sticking and eject force to support smoother demolding. Offered in silicone, wax, or amide-type systems matched to PP/PE injection applications. Consider downstream needs like printing, labeling, or sealing when selecting a grade.
Purpose: aid part ejection and help reduce sticking/drag marks.
Typical polymers: PP/PE injection parts; some caps & closures.
Common applications: high-cavitation tools, deep draws, textured parts.
Consider: printing/label adhesion after molding, organoleptic tests for food packs.

Elastomer Masterbatch
Incorporates elastomeric components to adjust flexibility, impact resistance, and feel in polyolefin parts. Useful for soft-touch areas or energy absorption without changing the base resin family. Balancing stiffness, adhesion in multilayer parts, and processing temperature is key.
Purpose: adjust flexibility/impact; tailor feel or energy absorption.
Typical polymers: PP/PE blends, TPOs.
Common applications: impact-modified housings, soft-touch components, hinge-areas.
Consider: stiffness–impact balance, bonding to neighbor layers in multilayer parts.

Anti-Blocking Masterbatch
Introduces fine, inert particles that create micro-spacing at film surfaces to reduce blocking during winding, storage, and converting. Particle size and loading are chosen to manage the clarity/handling trade-off. Often used alongside slip agents to meet COF targets.
Purpose: reduce film-to-film sticking (blocking) and improve handling.
Typical polymers: LDPE/LLDPE, BOPP/CPP, HDPE films & sheets.
Common applications: packaging films, lamination bases, liners.
Consider: particle size vs clarity, synergy with slip, lamination/metallization adhesion.

Slip Agent Masterbatch
Modifies surface friction (COF) to improve film winding, bag making, and downstream handling. Amide-type slips bloom over time, while silicone-based options offer more permanent effects; each has different printing/adhesion implications. Dosage and film aging determine the final COF.
Purpose: adjust surface friction (COF) for winding, bag making, and converting.
Typical polymers: PE, PP, BOPP/CPP films; some molded parts requiring low surface friction.
Common applications: food packaging film, stretch/pallet wrap, labels.
Consider: bloom time/stability (amide vs silicone), print/adhesive compatibility.

Clarifying Agent Masterbatch
Improves transparency and brightness in polypropylene by promoting a finer crystalline structure. Most effective in PP random copolymers for clear containers and thin-wall parts. Proper activation depends on processing temperature, residence time, and dispersion.
Purpose: improve clarity/haze in polypropylene; may shorten cycle time in thin-wall molding.
Typical polymers: PP random copolymer (primary), select homopolymer grades.
Common applications: clear containers, housewares, medical/labware (subject to compliance).
Consider: color interactions (OBAs/TiO₂), processing window to activate clarifier, plate-out control.
